Ownership is much more than holding shares. How we define ownership shapes the goals, responsibilities, and long-term direction of a family business. 

In this hybrid event, we will explore how different perspectives on ownership influence the purpose and content of an ownership strategy. 

As a participant, you will gain: 

• A deeper understanding of the different dimensions of ownership

• New perspectives on the role of ownership in sustaining family businesses across generations 🌱

The session will be moderated by Professor Peter Jaskiewicz, Full Professor of Family Enterprise at the Telfer School of Management in Ottawa. He will challenge participants to consider how differentinterpretations of ownership — who the owners are, what ownership means, and which rights and responsibilities it carries — can fundamentally shape an ownership strategy. 

💡 Ultimately, an ownership strategy helps business families move from simply owning shares to becoming intentional, responsible stewards of a shared legacy.

The event is free of charge and open to members of both Perheyritysten liitto and FBN International.
